Storybook Friends with Nicky

Hello!  This is Nicky with you today and I’m happy to be sharing this no-line watercolour painted card using Storybook Friends which formed part of the most recent summer release. To make the card I firstly stamped the main background image that is included in the stamp set using Distress Ink in Antique Linen onto an A2 panel of Bristol Smooth cardstock.  I watercolour painted this background using Kuretake Zigs in Green Shadow, Light Green and Pale Dawn Gray.  The sky was done using Haze Blue.   Once dry, I stamped the sentiment using Memento Ink in Fog and applied...

Farmyard Little Bits with Nicky

Hi everyone it’s Nicky with you today and I’m sharing a new card made using the cute piglets from Farmyard Little Bits and which also uses the Stitched Tag Builder Die. My card started by using several of the shapes from Stitched Tag Builder to cut openings  in an A2 panel of white cardstock and then using a stitched edge die from my stash to finish out the edges.   I took the negative cuts from each window opening and ink blended them using Distress Oxides in Spun Sugar and Crushed Olive.  I backed the white panel with dimensional foam...

Fly A Kite with Nicky

Hello and thank you for coming by the blog today to read about my latest card for  Hello Bluebird.  This card uses Fly A Kite from the most recent release. I backed the grass pieces...

Bee Happy with Nicky

Hi guys, this is Nicky back with you today and I’ve got a fun card using the Bee Happy stamp set.  This card also borrows the word ‘Smile’ from the newer Photo Stack die set! Let’s begin!  First off I grabbed an A2 panel of Bristol Smooth cardstock and I ink blended it with Distress Oxide in Dried Marigold and then I came in with Distress Ink in Wild Honey (seemed appropriate) and darkened around the edges, thus creating a lovely rich colour around the edges but a brighter focal point in the centre.  I use Bristol Smooth for...
