Party On The Farm with Nicky

Hello!  This is Nicky with you today, thank you for coming by the blog today to see my latest card that uses the Party On the Farm and Farmland stamp sets. This card features no-line Copic colouring for both the background image and the characters in the foreground.   To that end I stamped all images on to Copic friendly cardstock using the Simon Says Stamp Premium Dye Ink in ‘Fog’.   For the background panel I fussy cut along the horizon line and ink blended a panel which would be layered behind.  I Copic coloured the Farmland scene then adhered...

Picked For You by Nicky

Hello everyone this is Nicky with you today and I’m sharing a card made with the new stamp set Picked For You from the brand new release.  The release sold out super fast but don’t worry you can pre-order for when the shop is re-stocked hopefully near the end of April.  Coordinating dies will also be available at that time. Springtime and Spring Gatherings with Nicky

Hello this is Nicky with you today, welcome to the Hello Bluebird blog!  I have an Easter card to hopefully inspire you with and for this project I’ve combined images from Spring Gatherings and Springtime – two stamp sets that work beautifully together. I die cut the Gallery Frame #2 Die and used...

Garden Friends with Nicky

To create this card I first made the background by ink blending Distress Inks in Tumbled Glass and Iced Spruce, then splashing it with Tumbled Glass, Wilted Violet and my Kuretake Starry Watercolors – I used the iridescent white shade – so pretty!   This panel was attached to a 110lb white cardstock base and set to one side. Using the Gallery Frame #4 die I cut the frame from 110lb white cardstock, I backed it with...

Mixing Up Hello Bluebirds Pig Stamp Sets with Nicky

Hello everybody and happy new year!  I’m first up on the blog this year and mixing up my Hello Bluebird stamp sets.   The pig stamp sets have always been amongst my very favourites, they are scaled to work together seamlessly and so I created this colourful birthday card. To create this card I first ink blended a panel using Distress Oxide Ink in Blueprint Sketch and another panel using DI in Crushed Olive.  The sky was splashed with water droplets which I quickly blotted up and the grass portion splattered with more Crushed Olive ink.  The sky portion was...
