Farmyard Little Bits with Nicky

Hi everyone it’s Nicky with you today and I’m sharing a new card made using the cute piglets from Farmyard Little Bits and which also uses the Stitched Tag Builder Die. My card started by using several of the shapes from Stitched Tag Builder to cut openings  in an A2 panel of white cardstock and then using a stitched edge die from my stash to finish out the edges.   I took the negative cuts from each window opening and ink blended them using Distress Oxides in Spun Sugar and Crushed Olive.  I backed the white panel with dimensional foam...

Fly A Kite with Nicky

Hello and thank you for coming by the blog today to read about my latest card for  Hello Bluebird.  This card uses Fly A Kite from the most recent release. This card started with a panel of white cardstock.  I used one of  my cloud stencils and Distress Oxide In in Peacock Feathers to stencil/ink blend the background.  I also die cut another white panel twice with the Grassy Knoll Die and ink blended with Distress Oxide Ink in Spun Sugar.  Each piece was then simply die cut to provide the faux stitched edge. I backed the grass pieces...

Bee Happy with Nicky

Hi guys, this is Nicky back with you today and I’ve got a fun card using the Bee Happy stamp set.  This card also borrows the word ‘Smile’ from the newer Photo Stack die set! Let’s begin!  First off I grabbed an A2 panel of Bristol Smooth cardstock and I ink blended it with Distress Oxide in Dried Marigold and then I came in with Distress Ink in Wild Honey (seemed appropriate) and darkened around the edges, thus creating a lovely rich colour around the edges but a brighter focal point in the centre.  I use Bristol Smooth for...

Party Parade with Nicky

Hello everybody, I am very happy to be here on the Hello Bluebird Stamp’s blog today sharing a card I made recently featuring the new Party Parade stamp set. To make this card I took an A2 panel of Bristol Smooth cardstock and I masked off a line above which I ink blended Distress Oxide in Worn Lipstick.  I then moved the mask to above the original line and masked again only this time I used Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide.  I flicked some water splashes over the coloured panel and blotted them up a few seconds later to distress...
