Wilderness Adventure with Gemma

Today I have a card to share using the new Wilderness Adventure stamp set. I created a CAS card with a mini scene for these cute critters. I used a stitching rectangle die to add some detail to an A2 card panel. I cut a rectangle from a handmade gel printed background to adhere within the stitched rectangle space. Using the Hill & Dale die set, I cut two hills from a dark teal cardstock and added those to the scene. I stamped and copic coloured images from the Wilderness Adventure stamp set. The bear is coloured with E70...

Tree Neighbors with Gemma

Today I’m sharing a card using products from the September 2021 release – Tree Neighbors, Big Greetings and Gallery Frame #7. I’ve been enjoying creating square cards for a while now, so I was very pleased to see this format featured in the September release from Hello Bluebird. The Gallery Frame #7 die is 5.25 inches square, and cards made with this die set will fit perfectly in a 5.5 inch envelope. The Tree Neighbors stamp set works well with this square format, allowing the focus to be on just a portion of the large tree in this set....

Word Buddies Woodland Celebration with Gemma

Today I’m sharing a way to use slimline dies on regular sized cards, with a little help from the Word Buddies Woodland stamp set. My top folding landscape notecard is A6 is size. This is the UK equivalent to an A2 notecard, and is 148mm x 105mm (4-1/8 x 5-7/8). I began by working on the background. I die cut the Summer Woods Scene slimline die from white card. I won’t need the slimline frame on this card so this can be kept for a different project. I added colour to the pieces with distress oxide inks, then details...

A Pig For All Seasons with Gemma

The Hello Bluebird pigs are some of my favourite critters. As there are lots of great images to choose from, I decided to create a card with four seasonal pigs. My card base is 5.25 inches square. I’m really enjoying square card bases at the moment and this format works well for the four scenes I’m creating. I used a square die set from my stash to die cut four white card squares. On each of the squares, I used distress oxide inks to add colour to represent each of the seasons. All my pigs are coloured with copic...

Pig Out with Gemma

Today I’m sharing a very CAS look at the new Pig Out stamp set from Hello Bluebird, which is part of the May 2021 release. There are many more wonderful critters and scene building images included in this set. As my niece loves both rainbows and pigs, I just had to create a rainbow puddle for the pig to jump in. I used the coordinating die for the puddle to cut a window in a white card panel. On my card base, I blended a rainbow of distress oxide inks. This is easy to achieve with just 4 colours...
