Fairy Treehouse with Gemma

I was so excited to see the Treehouse Scene die in the latest release from Hello Bluebird. This is definitely an all year round scene die and will work with many of the Hello Bluebird stamp sets. I teamed this scene die with the Fairy Garden stamp set to make a winter birthday card for my niece. I first die cut the Treehouse Scene die from white card. The die cuts a frame, the tree and two ground pieces. I then ran the die through the machine again, this time with some brown woodgrain effect card to cut just...

Thankful For You with Gemma

I love the warm rich colours of autumn, so today I have a cozy fall card to share with you. I began with the background portion of the card. Using the Cozy Plaid background stamp, I stamped it with clear embossing ink on to a piece of kraft cardstock, then heat embossed with WOW Metallic Copper embossing powder. I trimmed down the panel and adhered a large strip of it onto my card base. I like to add a thinner strip of card to bridge the gap. A piece of copper glitter card is perfect. From the same colour of glitter...

Purrfect Halloween with Gemma

Hello, Gemma here today with a card featuring the fabulous new Tabitha stamp set. I love this set with all the sweet cats. Beginning with the background, I cut a piece of bright pink card to A2 notecard size. I blended on some distress oxides inks in Picked raspberry, seedless preserves, blueprint sketch, then added some black soot distress ink at the outer edges. I flicked the background with a mix of gold perfect pearls and water, which looks beautiful on the dark inked background. Once the panel was dry, I ran it through my die cutting machine with the...

Beside the Seaside with Gemma

Hello, Gemma here today to share a card using the lovely Seaside Girls stamp set from Hello Bluebird. I created a sunset scene with distress oxide inks in tattered rose, picked raspberry and dried marigold. The sea is a blend of tumbled glass and peacock feathers, and the sand is tattered rose. For the birds in the sky, I stamped them after blending the sky so used a small paintbrush and a little water to remove the distress ink. I layered the scene over a piece of blue card to get a border on the long edges, then adhered...

Beach Babes with Gemma

Today I’m sharing a fun card featuring a set from the fabulous June release – Beach Babes. Clean and simple cards are my favourite style to create, and this card together so quickly. I love the sense of movement it has. I began with the background. I used a wave stencil with WOW Under the Sea embossing glitter to add a sparkly river across the card.  I stamped the cute pig in a rubber ring image from the new Beach Babes stamp set, and coloured him with copic markers. I used the coordinating die to cut him out. I...
