(VIDEO) Bloomin Happy with Christy

Hey friends, it’s Christy here with a colorful birthday card featuring one of my favorite stamp sets, Bloomin Happy! I just love the joyful expressions on these sweet critters faces. I wanted to make it a birthday card, so I also pulled in a couple small accessory images from Party on the Farm, another personal favorite. I stamped the images in black ink and colored them with my Copic markers to match some patterned paper that I wanted to use. Then I trimmed them out with the matching dies. For the focal panel, I cut down some Bristol Cardstock...

(VIDEO) Fairy Garden with Christy

Hey friends, it’s Christy here with a vibrant design inspired by some patterned paper. I loved this print so much that I wanted to build an entire card around it. It reminded me of a fairy garden with its colorful mix of florals, strawberries, and ladybugs, so I pulled in images from Fairy Dance, Fairy Garden, and Strawberry Patch. I colored them all to match with my Copic markers and trimmed them out with their coordinating dies. I knew that I wanted to create an arch with the strawberry and bluebell images, so I decided that an oval was the...

(VIDEO) Little Painters with Christy

Hey friends, it’s Christy here with a sweet little scene just in time for Easter. One of my favorite children’s stories is a German picture book called Die Häsenschule (The Bunny School) where little rabbits go to learn good manners, how to identify plants, and of course, how to paint Easter eggs! Ever since discovering that story when my boys were small, I have loved imagining all the training that must go on behind the scenes in order go grow up and someday become an Easter bunny. So for today’s card, I decided to depict three bunnies in training,...

(VIDEO) After the Rain Scene with Christy

Hey friends, it’s Christy here with a subtle St. Patrick’s Day card! Being part Irish, I love celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, but it’s not typically a holiday that I would send someone a card for. So I decided to add enough details to give a nod to that special day, while still being able to pass as a general Spring card. I started by stamping out two of the Next Door Gnomes and colored them with Copic markers to resemble leprechauns by giving them red hair and green outfits. I also colored flowers, bugs, and a bird from Bloom...

(VIDEO) Balloon Buddies Valentine Mashup with Christy

Hey friends, it’s Christy here with a sweet Valentine mashup using a mix of stamps including Autumn Days, Balloon Buddies, Bloom and Grow, and Carried Away. I colored all of the images to match some patterned paper, and hand-drew a floral pattern on the girl’s dress to bring her out of the Fall season and into Spring. Then I trimmed all of the images out with their coordinating dies. For the background, I started by trimming down some Bristol Cardstock with one of the Nesting Deckle A2 dies. I did one panel for the sky, then cut the second...
