New Year’s Eve Treat Box with Anja

Hi everyone, Anja here today on the last day of the year (even of the decade) and I’m sharing a treat box with you.   In Germany, we like to hand out little lucky charm gifts on New Year’s Eve. Sweet treats like a marzipan pig are very common and I created a customized box for it. Of course, I had to use one of the Merry Pigs to decorate it. I colored this cutie with Copics and used the coordinating die to cut it out. I  put a little heart (from the Family Photo set) between the piggie’s claws. I did...

Cocoa Party with Anja

Hi everyone, Anja here today with a cozy card featuring the new Cocoa Party set. I love these cute critters in their little winter sweaters. First, I stamped the Buffalo Check Background Stamp in VersaFine Onyx Black ink on red cardstock to create a typical plaid pattern. Next, I colored the images with my Copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I white heat embossed the sentiment on a piece of Kraft cardstock and added three white die-cut hearts around it. I masked off a narrow strip at the bottom and blended on some light...

Oh Nuts! with Anja

Hi everyone, Anja here with a new Fall card. I finally used the cute squirrels from the Oh Nuts! set. I started with a piece of turquoise cardstock and blended on some Distress Oxide Inks (Peacock Feathers and Pine Needles). To achieve a glow, I applied the ink from the outside towards the center, making sure to keep this area as light as possible. For even more contrast, I added Black Soot to the outer edges. Next, I stamped the Old Oak Background in VersaMark ink onto kraft cardstock and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I used...

Gather Together with Anja

Hello everyone, Anja here with a fall-themed card using some adorable woodland critters. First, I stamped the new Old Oak Background in brown ink onto kraft cardstock. I used a circle die to cut out a window. For a little more interest, it is out of centre and cropped off at the right edge. I also stamped the Country Gingham Background in a light mint green and adhered it behind the circle window. To create a hill, I used the Hill and Dale Die on a piece of dotted paper. I popped up the woodgrain panel with foam tape....

Big Birthday Wishes with Anja

Hi everyone, Anja here and today I’m sharing a birthday card featuring the new Simply Squared Background Stamp. First, I created an ink blended background with Distress Oxide Inks (Worn Lipstick, Tattered Rose, Scattered Straw, Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers). These colors remind me of yummy ice cream and almost look like a pastel rainbow. When everything was completely dry, I stamped the background stamp with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. It’s subtle but adds a pretty and shiny detail. I love how well the Hello Bluebird designs work together – you can simply...
