Well hello there, this is Nicky with you today on the Hello Bluebird Stamps blog and I’m sharing a new birthday card that I made featuring several products.  Please read on for all the details.

To create this 10th Birthday card I used the following products, you can click these links to go directly to each item in the shop:-

Oh Happy Day

Oh Happy Day Die

Birthday Script

Nesting Deckle A2 Die

By The Numbers Die

Gallery Frame #1 Die

I started by choosing some patterned paper from my stash but you could easily do an ink blend to create the same affect.  I die cut the panel using the Deckle die and I stamped the sentiment from Birthday Script.  I backed the panel with white craft foam and applied it to an A2 panel of white cardstock, this was glued to a yellow panel that was a fraction bigger and then that was glued to a white card base which was a fraction bigger again.

I grabbed the By The Numbers Die and die cut the 1 and 0 twice and I glued these together.  I then die cut sparkling pink cardstock and I glued these numbers behind the white die cuts but slightly offset them for a sparkling shadow effect.  I glued these to the background.

I stamped the characters I wanted to use from the Oh Happy Day stamp set and I coloured with the following Copic markers:-

Duck – C5, C3, C1, C0, C00, YR09, YR04, Y38

Piglet – E33, E53, E11, E01, R000

Bear – E44, E43, E42, E41, E40

Mouse – W4, W3, W2, W1, W0, W00

Blushes – R22, R21, R20, R00

Party Hats – RV63, V12, V01, RV52

The images were die cut and applied to the scene using dimensional foam tape.

For the finishing touches, I highlighted points with a white gel pen, I created shadow under the animals using the ‘W’ Copic markers listed above for the mouse and then I used the stars die included in the Gallery Frame #1 Die to create sparkling pink stars which I dotted around for a celebratory party feel.

I really appreciate you stopping by to read about my card today, I’ll be back soon with something new.
