Hello crafty friends!

Today it’s my turn over the Hello Bluebird blog and I have an almost CAS inspiration to show you!

I wanted to feature as much critters as possible and I had the idea to stamp them peeking from the border of an A2 cardstock. So, I went into my stamp sets and I selected the cute critters from Oh Happy Day stamp and one from Cake Time stamp. I arranged them over the border of an A2 piece of Neenah Smooth Solar White cardstock and I stamped them with Memento Black ink, since I wanted to color them with Copics. Here’s the full list of colors used.

  • Goat: W2 – W1 – W0 – YR68 – YR14
  • Bunnies: E42 – E41 – E50 – E11
  • Bird: BG72 – BG11 – G000 – YR14
  • Mouse: W5 – W4 – W2 – W1 – E11
  • Bear: E57 – E44 – E43 – E42 – E41
  • Cheeks: RV34 – R20
  • Pink combo: RV69 – RV19 – RV09 – RV06
  • Green Combo: YG25 – YG23 – YG01
  • Teal combo: BG09 – BG07 – BG05
  • Orange Combo: YR09 – YR04 – Y38

I then moved into the sentiment, which is the main focus of the background. I used the Happy Birthday Words die to cut the word happy from the colored panel, since I wanted to create a window. I also completed the sentiment stamping two scripts above and below the die cut word (the Let’s Celebrate You comes from the Garden Party stamp while the birthday script comes from the Oh Happy Day stamp).

I took a piece of white cardstock and I blended Distress in Picked Raspberry, Wild Honey, Twisted Citron and Peacock Feathers and I covered them with Nuvo Glimmer Paste to get the sparkly look. I let it dry a night and then I attached it behind the colored panel.

And here’s the finished look!

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like the  inspiration!

Hugs from Italy,

Sara
