Well hello there!  This is Nicky with you today on the Hello Bluebird Stamps blog and I’m sharing a super summery card using the Beach Babes stamp set.  It must be our chilly spring weather here in Upstate NY that has me dreaming of sunshine!  Please read on for all the details.

Here are the Hello Bluebird products used:-

Beach Babes Die

Gallery Frame #6 Die

I started by selecting patterned paper from my stash.  This palm tree design comes from the Pinkfresh Studio Paper Pack called Sunshine On  My Mind.  I used these colours to inform the rest of my design.  This card measures 6 x 4 1/2 inches and I cut a panel of that size from this patterned paper and attached it to a card base.  I then used the Gallery Frame #6 Die to cut some turquoise cardstock.  I didn’t need the outer frame and just used the inner one and I snipped off the horizontals.  I backed the frame with dimensional foam tape and adhered it to the patterned background.

I sized a white panel of cardstock to fit within that frame and ink blended some sky and sand before glueing it in place.

Using Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa I stamped the images to colour.  Here are the Copic colour combinations that I used:-

Pigs – E99, E97, E95, YR01

Blushes – R22, R20, R00

Red – R08, R22

Blue – G00, G000

White – C1, C00

I highlighted with a white pen then die cut using the coordinating dies and and I applied with dimensional foam tape.

To finish the project i created a sentiment strip and stamped the sentiment with Versamark Ink and heat embossed in white.  This was added with foam tape and then I added a few sparkling white sequins.

I appreciate you stopping by to read my post today and I will be back very soon with something new that hopefully inspires.
