Hello crafty friends! Happy Easter everyone!

Today it’s my turn over the Hello Bluebird blog and I have an Easter inspiration to show you!

I always have so much fun mixing and matching many products to recreate my ideas. I love playing with letters and I wanted to do a “Hoppy Easter” sentiment replacing the letter O with the big egg included in the Little Painters stamp set. I also wanted to feature all the small bunnies from the Word Buddies Woodland stamp set and I started stamping all the images. Since I wanted the bunnies to be almost white, I used a light brown copic friendly ink, while I used Memento Black for all the eggs. I chose a spring palette with mint, pink, red-rose and yellow and I colored everything with the colors listed below.

  • Bunnies: E42 – E41 – E40
  • Cheeks: R20
  • Red-rose combo: RV25 – RV14
  • Pink: R21 – R11
  • Mint: BG34 – BG32
  • Yellow: Y38 – Y35 – YR31

I also die cut all the images with coordinating dies and I used a black fineliner to define the bunnies’ eyes.

I then moved into the sentiment: I took some coordinating colored cardstock and I die cut the largest letters from the Charlie Large Outline Alpha die and the smaller from Jane Small Alpha die. I die cut them twice, from colored and from white cardstock, in order to glue them together to create a sort of white shadow behind. I also decided to decorate the larger letters with a white gel pen.

For the background, I took a light warm grey cardstock and I stamped the Falling Snow Background Stamp with a white pigment ink, I then die cut the panel with the largest of the Nesting Deckle A2 die. I carefully glued everything down and I also stamped the smaller scripty sentiment that comes from the Easter Egg Hunt stamp with black ink.

To complete the card, I added some colored gemstones here and there and I mated the whole scene with a slightly larger white panel. And here’s the finished result!

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like the  inspiration!
