Hi Bluebird Friends, Sara here after loooong time!

I had my wrist broken at the end of January and after a month of plaster and some physical therapy I am finally back to my crafty hobby!

Today it’s my turn over the Hello Bluebird Blog and I have a spring card to show you, mixing and matching lots of Hello Bluebird stamps and dies.

Spring is finally here and I wanted to create a simple card to celebrate the beginning of this new season. I firstly stamped all the protagonist I wanted to feature in my card, that comes from different sets: the squirrel, the mouse, the bunny and the big butterfly are from Blooming Happy stamp, the little butterflies from Bloom and Grow and the little bird from Flower Friends. I stamped on some Neenah Solar white cardstock using Memento Black ink and I colored with the Copics listed below.

  • Squirrel: E17 – E15 – E13 – E30
  • Bunny: E43 – E42 – E41 – E40 – E11 – E000
  • Mouse: E71 – E70 – W2 – W1 – W0
  • Bird: YR23 – YR31 – YR30
  • Cheeks: RV34 – R11
  • Flowers and butterflies: RV69 – RV19 – RV14 – RV13 – R11 | YR09 – TR04 – Y38 – Y35 | G46 – G43

I then die cut them with all the coordinating dies.

For the background, I stamped the Mushroom House stamp with some light grey ink, I then took a strip of cardstock and I inked it up with Distress Picked Raspberry and Spiced Marmelade which matched the colors I used for the flowers. I then die cut all the letters from Charlie Alpha Dies and I layered a white die cut behind each one, in order to create some depth. I also completed the sentiment with the word “welcome”, which comes from the Little Star stamp: I white heat embossed it on a piece of black cardstock. I attached all the pieces down with a mix of liquid glue and foam tape, in order to create depth.

To complete the card, I decided to frame my spring scene with the scalloped frame from Rainbow Square Die. And here’s the finished result!

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like the  inspiration!

Hugs from Italy,
