Hi friends! It’s Stefanie here and I’m sharing a spring birthday card using the super adorable Bee Happy Stamp!

I used pretty much every stamp in the set to create this scene and had so much fun playing around with the images because the ability to build your own flowers with separate leaves and stem components really gives you endless possibilities of layouts!

I started with stamping my images using black ink and coloring them with a mix of Copics(C) and Ohuhus.

Bee yellow: Y110, Y6, YR33

Bee black: CG020, CG030, CG050, CG5

Bee wings/glasses: B0000(C), BG10(C)

Crown/honey/pollen yellow: Y3, Y6, YR33

Pink flowers: RV260, R12

Teal leaves: G110, G120, G322, G8

Green leaves: G110, G120, G130, G140, GY4

Strawberries: R20, R1, R6, R7

The images were then cut out using the coordinating Bee Happy Die

Next I used the Gallery Frame #5 Die to help set my background. I used plain white borders as usual since I love the clean look, but added an ink blended background underneath.

The background is composed of only 2 distress oxides: Worn Lipstick and Tattered Rose. I started with a heavy blend at the bottom and faded to white at the top. To create some extra texture I used water to lift some spots and added some splatter back using coordinating distress oxides and white acrylic paint.

I probably took the longest time playing with the layout, but once I decided where the images would go, I stamped my sentiment in black ink and fixed the images using foam tape for some dimension. And of course for my last step, I added some highlight using a white gel pen.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like how my card turned out!
