Hi everyone! Leanne here today with a fun shaker card idea. St. Patrick’s Day is next month and will be here before we know it! Even though Hello Bluebird does not have sets specifically designed for this holiday, I still was able to find some things in my HB stash along with some clover confetti to make a card suitable for the occasion.

First I created a background for my shaker with After the Rain Scene Die. This scene die consists of the clouds and rainbow. I’ve die cut all the pieces from white card stock and then used the following colors for ink blending: Catherine Pooler Be Mine, Tiki Torch, & Grass Skirt for the rainbow; Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide for the clouds. Once I had the background scene assembled, I made it into an infinity shaker by using a piece of cello packaging and some four leaf clover confetti.

Next I decorated the outside of the shaker to complete the scene. I added a grassy border at the bottom of the scene. I then added a gnome from Next Door Gnomes and two ladybugs from Fairy Garden. I created a custom greeting with a combination of die cut letters and a sentiment stamp from Next Door Gnomes. I used the Oliver Alpha Die set to cut out letters to spell the word “lucky”. I’ve cut them out of green and then black to layer behind for a shadow effect.

Here’s a list of Copic colors used for the gnome and ladybugs:

  • pink – RV10, RV02, RV06
  • light green – YG11, YG13, YG17
  • dark green – G46, G29
  • gnome beard & hair – YR12, E13, E17
  • skin color – E00, E01, E21
  • rosy cheeks – R20
  • black – N2, N4, N6, N8
