Hi Friends! It’s Marie back on the blog with you today! Valentine’s day is on its way so today I’m sharing how I created this sweet Valentine’s themed card featuring two of the most adorable foxes from the Forest Friends Stamp Set.

I started off by die cutting an A2 sized card base from 110 lb. Neenah Solar White heavyweight cardstock paper. Using the Nesting Deckle A2 Die, I cut two more different sized panels from pink and muted blue cardstock paper. For my background panel, I ink blended the bottom portion with Rustic Wilderness Distress Ink and added the most subtle water splatters for a light texture. I then adhered my pink deckled panel to the white base followed by the background panel using double sided tape adhesive.

Next, I used images from the Forest Fawns Stamp Set, and Big Hugs Woodland Stamp Set to build up my scene. I stamped out all the images onto watercolor paper using Antique Linen Distress Ink and colored them with Faber- Castell Albrecht Durer Watercolor Pencils and Derwent Inktense Pencils. I cut out the images with the corresponding Forest Friends Dies, Forest Fawns Dies, and Big Hugs Woodland Dies.

I cut out the sentiment from red and white cardstock paper using the beautiful and whimsical Love You Words Die.

After positioning all my images and sentiment, I adhered everything to my background using a combination of foam tape for my foxes and tree stump, and Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue for everything else.

As a finishing touch, I added some small paper hearts and topped it with some Glossy Accents for some shiny dimension. I also added some white highlights to the grass and detailing on the flowers with a white Gelly Roll Pen. There you have it friends, a very easy to put together card to give to your sweetheart! I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine’s Day and until next time, Happy Cardmaking!
