Welcome to the Hello Bluebird Stamps blog today, this is Nicky with you and I have a pair of Easter cards to share with you that were created by stamping out the delightful Little Painters stamp set.
To create this cards I have used the following Hello Bluebird products:-
To kick things off I stamped out the Little Painters set … just the once, using Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa. This provides more than enough images to create two cards. The images were coloured with the following Copic marker combinations:-
Chicks – YG82, Y21, YR30, W3, W0, YR07
Silver Bunnies – C3, C1, Co, C00
Beige Bunnies – E43, E31, E41, E40
Hedgehog – E44, E31, W2, R000
Mint – G00, BG11
Yellow – Y21, YR30
Coral Pink – R22, R20
Pastel Pink – R00, R000
Paint Cans – C3, C1, C0
Blushes – R22, R20, R00, R000
I die cut the images, I added shadow to the painted eggs using W4, W3, W2, W0 Copic markers and I highlighted with a white gel pen.
I decided that one of my cards would be fun as an egg shaped cards and so for that one I grabbed the Nesting Oval Die and used the largest size to cut some coloured cardstock and the next size down to cut a white oval which was ink blended with Blush Pink ink by The Stamp Market and then I backed all of the elements with foam tape and arranged and stuck them down. The blended panel was back with foam tape and applied to the coloured oval card base. I also cut another large oval, scored it at the top to make a ‘hinge’ and joined the two parts using 1/8 inch Scor-Pal tape. The card was finished with some Nuvo Dream Drops in ‘Fairy Wings’.
For the mini slimline card I die cut the two largest sizes of the Nesting Mini Slimline Die from white cardstock. The smaller one was blended with ‘Minty’ ink which again is by the The Stamp Market. I backed this panel with foam tape and layered it on to the larger white die cut, I arranged the remaining elements and adhered with foam tape. I created a card base slightly smaller than the deckled edge so that it wouldn’t show and glued it to the back. Again this was finished with Nuvo Dream Drops but this time using ‘Cloud 9’.
Both cards got the same sentiment which I took from Easter Egg Hunt, setting each one at a playful angle and with that these two projects were complete.
Many thanks for coming to read the blog today, I hope you’re inspired and have some creative fun of your own soon!
