Hey friends, it’s Christy here with a fun Valentine card combining a bunch of stamp sets. For this one, I thought up the sentiment first, and then shopped my stash to see what I could come up with to fit the scene I was envisioning. I wanted to create a sweet treat Valentine’s Day picnic, so I combined images from Pig Out, Strawberry Jam, and Cake Time. I colored the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with their matching dies.
Next I created a focal panel by blending Distress Oxide Inks onto Bristol Cardstock. For the sky, I used a cloud stencil and Salvaged Patina. For the Grassy Knoll I used Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn. I adhered this to a piece of aqua cardstock to create a frame and trimmed off the bottom with one of the Basic Borders to give it a scalloped edge. Then I added this on top of some sprinkle patterned paper on the card front. I used the Knightly LC Large Alphas to die cut the word “hogs” from pink and red cardstock so I could swap the borders out for extra pop. The rest of the sentiment I white heat embossed onto red cardstock using the Big Hugs Woodland stamp set.
This card is Day 5 of my 2024 Valentine Card Series, so if you’d like to see how it all came together, you can click on the thumbnail below or find it here on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. I really hope that you enjoy it! I just adore these sweet little piggies and I’m so happy that I had the chance to create with them again. Thanks so much for stopping by!
