Well happy new year everyone, this is my first blogpost for Hello Bluebird in 2024 and I’m ‘bloomin happy’ that you came by the blog today to read about this card with a fresh Spring feel to it.

To create this card I used the following Hello Bluebird Products:-

Bloomin Happy Stamps

Bloomin Happy Die

Mushroom House Background Scene Stamp

Gallery Frame #7 Die

Stitched Tag Builder Die

This is lovely large card measuring just a smidgen over 5 3/4 inches square which fits nicely into a 6 inch square envelope.  I started by sizing a piece of gingham patterned cardstock and adhering it to my card base.  Over this I layered a 5 1/2 inch square white panel on which I stamped the Mushroom House Background Scene Stamp using Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa.  You may know that from time to time I like to just leave these background scene stamps uncoloured and to let the characters and other elements just pop out at you and so that is what I did here.

I glued this panel to the gingham pattern and then over laid it with the Gallery Frame #7 Die backed with dimensional foam tape.

Next, I stamped the images with the same Memento Ink.  I coloured with the following Copic marker combinations:-

Squirrel – E25, E23, E13, W3, W1, W0

Bunny – E43, E31, E41, E40

Bird – BG57, BG53, B000

Butterfly – BG57, BG53, Y21, YR30

Toadstools – R22, R21, R20, E31, W4, W2, W0

Blushes – R22, R21, R20, R00

I die cut with the coordinating dies to Bloomin Happy and backed the elements with foam tape, arranged them and then stuck them down.

To finish the card I highlighted the coloured images with a white gel pen and then I die cut the sentiment ‘oval’ using a die included in Stitched Tag Builder and stamped the sentiment which is included in Bloomin Happy.

I really appreciate you stopping by today and hope you like my card and are inspired to get creative this week.  See you in a couple of weeks!
