Hi friends! It’s Stefanie here today and I have a sweet first birthday card that I would love to share! Front and center is the adorable raccoon from the Peek-A-Boo Stamp and she is hiding out in the super cute Autumn Acorn Die

I started with stamping the raccoon using black ink and coloring her up using a mix of Copics(C) and Ohuhus.

Black/Gray: W7, W5, W3, W1, W00 (C)

Pink: RV180, RV130

The image was then cut out using the coordinating Peek-A-Boo Die.

Next I cut out the acorn and a couple leaves from the Autumn Acorn Die. I inked the acorn up with a variety of distress oxides: Antique Linen, Tea Dye, Scattered Straw, Vintage Photo, Aged Mahogany, and Walnut Stain – trying to distinguish the top and the bottom by making the top a bit more brown and the bottom a bit more red.

The number one is cut out from the By the Numbers Die and I inked it up with the same distress oxide combo as the leaves: Milled Lavender, Shaded Lilac, Dusty Concord, and Wilted Violet.

I also used water to lift some spots from the ink blended pieces and added some splatter back using coordinating colors and white paint to create some more interest.

The sentiment is from the Jungle King Stamp and embossed in white on kraft cardstock.

Finally I created a simple background using the Woven Background Stamp and Milled Lavender distress oxide.

I framed the card with a simple white frame propped up with foam tape, then arranged the raccoon with the dies and sentiment in the center – also propping them up with foam tape. For final touches I added a bit more splatter onto the background and a little bit of highlight using a white gel pen.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like how it turned out!
