Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Marie back on the blog! I feel like I can never have too many thank you cards in my stash. They always come especially handy after the holidays when I have lots of people to thank. Today I am sharing a bright and cheerful Thank You card featuring the adorable Fairy Garden Stamp Set.
To create my card, I started off by cutting an A2 sized base panel from 110 lb. Neenah Solar white card stock. I used the Nesting Deckle A2 Die to cut another panel from a beautiful purple watercolor pattern paper which I then adhered to my base panel using double sided tape adhesive for a perfectly flat lay down. Then using the Nesting Oval Die, I die cut my oval background panel from purple cardstock and inked the edges with Seedless Preserves Distress Ink.
Next, I die cut the mushroom using the mushroom die from the Gallery Frame #5 Die. I inked the mushroom base using Antique Linen Distress Ink and darkened up the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. For the Mushroom top, I used the colors Red Hot and Amarena Cherry from MFT. I used the Tropical Foliage Die to cut out some greenery and colored them in using some Derwent Inktense Pencils.
For my ‘Thanks’ sentiment, I used the Big Greetings Stamp Set. I stamped my greeting onto Neenah Solar White Cardstock using Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide Ink and cut it out using the corresponding Big Greetings Die.
I stamped out all my images onto watercolor paper using Antique Linen Distress Ink. I used Derwent Inktense Pencils to color them all and used the Fairy Garden Die to cut them out. I also, pulled some bug images from the Garden Friends Stamp Set and the Garden Party Stamp Set and used the corresponding Garden Friends Die, and Garden Party Die to cut them out.
After playing with the placement, I adhered my oval background panel first. Then, I added some foam adhesive to the back of my Thanks sentiment and placed it at the very base of the oval. I then built up my scene from there as I carefully placed and adhered everything using a combination of double sided tape adhesive and Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue. I added foam tape to the fairy and bugs for some added dimension. Lastly, I used a white Gelly Roll pen to add some highlights to my images and die cuts and presto, a Thank You Card is finished!
Thanks so much for joining me today friends! Until next time, Happy Cardmaking!
