Hey friends, it’s Christy here with a card with a fun twist. I love to stretch my stamps and use them in new ways, so today I’m using Dear Santa to make a Valentine card. These adorable critters are just too cute to keep to just Christmas! I started by choosing some patterned paper from a Valentine collection and then coloring my images with Copic markers to match. making sure to pull in lots of pinks and reds. Then I trimmed the images out with the matching dies.

Then I trimmed that original piece of patterned paper down using the new Postage Frame die. I also used another piece of patterned paper with a cloud print for my sky. And since the clouds were more off white in tone, I cut down some Bristol Cardstock with the Hill and Dale dies for my snow drift. I stamped my sentiment at the bottom and popped up the frame with foam tape, then used foam tape to adhere my images as well to give them a bit of dimension. Then I finished off the card with a little Stardust Stickles.

If you’d like to see how this card came together, I’ve created a video tutorial! You can view it by clicking on the thumbnail below or find it HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. I really hope that you enjoy it! I hope that you are all having a happy, healthy, crafty start to your new year.

All the best,
Christy
