Hello friends! I’m excited to be back on the blog with my first Hello Bluebird card of the year! With Valentine’s day quickly approaching, I thought this card would be so much fun! It would also be perfect for an anniversary card, or a “just because” card. I combined a couple of sets, along with the Berry Basket Die , to create a basket full of hearts!
To begin, I stamped, colored, and die cut images from the following sets:
Next, I die cut a panel of Bristol smooth cardstock using the Nesting Deckle A2 Die, then inked it with Speckled Egg Distress Oxide ink. I then splattered the background with Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide, thinned with water, to create a bit of interest and adhered it to a white mat, then onto pink checked patterned paper.
I then die cut a white basket using the Berry Basket Die and attached a bunch of different sized die cut hearts from my stash. I attached the basket to the background using foam tape, then arranged and attached the mice to create a sweet scene. I cut a little slit on the mouse’s arm so that I could tuck a heart between his arms.
I created a bold sentiment using the Love You Words Die, by layering red cardstock over the white shadow, and attached it to the top of my card. I then stamped the ‘so very much’ sentiment (from the Little Hugs Stamp set) in black ink and added a couple of die cut hearts to balance it out and complete my card!
Thanks so much for stopping by! See you next time!
