Hey friends, it’s Christy here with another card using the adorable Christmas Eve stamps set. I just love these little reindeer! They have such sweet personalities. I had to use them again before the holidays are upon us. Also, some of my favorite images of all time are the tiny little cardinals from Snow Play. They add such a fun pop of color to any wintery scene. So I brought them in as well. I colored all the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with their matching dies.
For the focal panel, I hand-drew a little snowy scene with some distant pine trees using my Copics once again. Then I trimmed that down with one of the Nesting Circles. I cut out some solid dark green patterned paper with the next size up circle to give the focal panel a bit of a frame. Then I layered two more sheets of patterned paper onto my card base and popped the focal panel up with foam tape to give it some dimension. I white heat embossed my sentiment onto a piece of solid red patterned paper to match and trimmed that down into a strip. I glued that at the bottom, adhered my images, and finished with a bit of white paint for falling snow, and some Stardust Stickles.
This is definitely one of those cards that’s easier to explain in video format, especially when it comes to the background on the focal panel, so if you’d like to see how it all came together, click the thumbnail below, or you can find the video on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. This is actually Day 16 of my 2023 Holiday Card Series, so if you’ve missed any of the previous videos and would like to check them out, you can find the entire playlist on my channel as well.
Wishing you all the happiest of holidays!
