Hi friends! It’s Stefanie here today and I am sharing a bright and cheery Christmas card using the most adorable stamp set, Cup of Cheer. How can you not smile looking at these guys!?

The images are so cute I created a fairly simple background using the Winter Woods Overlay Die so they could be the absolute center of attention.

I started with stamping the images using black ink and coloring them up using a mix of Copics(C) and Ohuhus.

Squirrel red: E37(C), E35(C), E11(C), E30(C)
Teal: BG13(C), BG4, G320
White: BG3, G320, E0000(C)
Blue: BGII05, B250, B220, BG4, B000(C)
Purple cup: P4, P2, V150, R12, RV260
Brown sweater: E59(C), E57(C), E55(C)
Otter brown: E44-40(C)
Pink: RV34(C), R12, R21, RV260

The images were then cut out using the coordinating Cup of Cheer Die.

Moving on to the background I used the Winter Woods Overlay Die on plain white cardstock and ink blended another A2 cardstock with Salvaged Patina distress oxide. I also used water to lift some spots from the ink blend and splattered some “snow” back in using white paint.

Next I figured out where the sentiment would go and heat embossed it in white onto the blended background before propping up the background die. The sentiment is also from Cup of Cheer.

For the ground I used a Slimline Hill and Dale die and lightly blended it with the same distress oxide before adding the friends in front.

For final touches I added a couple strings of lights from the Deck the Tree stamp set to the background die and added some white highlights to the images using a gel pen.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like how my card turned out!
