Hi Bluebird Friends, Sara here!
Today it’s my turn over the Hello Bluebird Blog and I have another Christmas card to show you, featuring some of the recent released Holiday stamps and dies.
I really loved all the Holiday Littles images and when I was thinking to a card, I thought it would have been fun to feature them all in a card. So, I stamped them all on some Neenah Solar White cardstock and I carefully colored them using the colors listed below.
- Red combo: R39 – R46 – R27
- Green combo: G94 – YG25 – YG21
- Blue combo: BG02 – B01 – B00
- Yellow combo: YR23 – Y35
- Pink combo: RV23 – RV13
- Black combo: N10 – N8 – N7 – N5 – N4
- Santa’s skin: E13 – E11
- Snowmen: B000
I also stamped a few hearts and snowflakes that comes from the recent released Merry Friends: for the snowflakes, I decided to use coordinating inks to stamp them. When I finished, I die cut everything with coordinating dies.
I then moved into the background: I didn’t want a white background, so I took out the Buffalo Check background stamp and I used a light grey ink to stamp it. But it came out a bit too dark, so I took a no-line ink and I tried again: if you see the photo, you’ll see a light texture, which was exactly what I was looking for.
I carefully arranged all the images in a circular shape (I used one of the Nesting Circle die as a guide) and I moved them until I was happy with the result. I attached the critters and the gifts with foam tape, I used liquid glue for candy canes, snowflakes and hearts. I also white heat embossed the sentiment included in the Holiday Littles stamp on some red cardsrtock. I attached some coordinated colored gems and pearls here and there, which gives an extra shiny touch.
To complete the design, I used the darker Buffalo Check background to matt the final panel. And here’s the finished result!
Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like the Christmas inspiration!
Hugs from Italy,
