Hi Bluebird Friends, Sara here!
Today it’s my turn over the Hello Bluebird Blog and I have a Christmas card to show you, featuring some of the recent released Holiday stamps and dies.
I decided to pair the newest Candy Cane Lane Die with the Merry Friends stamp. I Initially stamped two of the sweetest foxes included in the stamp set with some Memento Black ink and I colored it with the Copics listed below.
- Foxes: E49 – E17 – E15 – E13 – E11 – E41
- Red Combo: R37 – R35 – R32
- Dark Red combo: R89 – R59 – R39
- Grey combo: W9 – W8 – W6 – W5 – W4 – W2
I then used the Merry Friends coordinating dies to cut them out and I moved into the background scene.
I die cut the candy cane pieces from some white and a pink cardstock, I also used a small blending brush on the pink one to darken the inside edge and create some depth. For the big bow, I used sparkly red cardstock, I think it really gives a festive touch to the card. For the background, I white heat embossed the Falling Snow stamp on some light grey cardstock and I die cut it with the largest Nesting Deckle A2 die. For the sentiment, I initially thought I would have used one of those included in the Sweet Christmas Stamp but then I realized that the composition was not balanced. So I found out the Joy word from the Joy and Peace Words Die and I cut it twice from dark grey cardstock.
To complete the card, I matted it with a slightly larger white cardstock. And here’s the finished result!
Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like the Christmas inspiration!
Hugs from Italy,
