Hello friends, this is Nicky with you today and I’m sharing a slimline card working with beautiful stamps from Hello Bluebird’s Christmas release.  Please read on for all the details.

Here’s what I’ve used:-

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve Die

Winter Walk Scene Die

I started out by stamping the images with Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa and then colouring with the following Copic markers:-

Santa – R89, R59, R39, R56, T9, T7, T6, C3, C1, C0, E34, E11, E21, W3, W1

Reindeer – E33, E31, E41, W3, W2, W1

Blushes – R22, R21, R20, R00

Bows – R59, R39, R56

I die cut using the coordinating dies and highlighted with a white gel pen and then set these elements to one side.

I die cut the Winter Walk Scene Die from 110lb white cover weight cardstock which is nice and sturdy.  I die cut just the trees again from kraft cardstock and brushed on some glitter paste so they look stuck with frost and set these aside to dry.

I reassembled all the pieces of the background by first glueing the frame to a slimline panel and then I started at the bottom and ink blended that piece and glued in place then the next then the next in turn.  By the time I was reaching the top I was  able to add the now dry glittered trees.  I used Aged Mahogany and Victorian Velvet Distress Oxide Inks for the ink blending which toned nicely with Santa who is a little more maroon than I’d normally colour him – variety is the spice of life!!

I stamped the sentiment on a sentiment strip and applied with foam tape and then used more foam tape to attach Santa and his Reindeer.

A few sparkling clear sequins together with metallic gel pen dots through the mahogany sky completed the card.

Thanks for stopping by.  Nicky
