Hello everyone! I’m happy to be sharing some holiday cheer today in the form of a fun card featuring images from the new Cup of Cheer stamp set. This set is just so adorable with all the critters bundled up and enjoying a hot beverage. It was tough to choose because they are all so cute, but I picked out three to use on my card

I started with an A2 size card base. I added some candy cane stripe patterned paper to the top and bottom edge of the card front. I used Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide ink and a blending brush to add color to a white panel. I started blending in a circular motion right in the middle of this panel, keeping the color heavier in the center and lighter towards the edges.

I adhered the Copic colored images in the center of the inked panel with foam squares and then stamped the sentiment right below them. You could leave the card as is at this point if you like a more CAS design. I wanted to add some embellishments and sparkle. I added a simple pine sprig swag. These sprigs are from the new Candy Cane Lane set. I die cut four to use for the swag. I trimmed them a bit shorter and added some Distress Rock Candy Glitter to the tips to make them sparkle.

I scattered some snowflakes die cuts around the scene too. To make the snowflakes shimmer, I sprayed them with Frozen Fog Mica Stain. I have found this color of Mica Stain very useful for snow splatters and adding a silver shimmer to die cuts. It’s subtle and so pretty when it catches the light.

Below is a list of the Copics colors I used:

  • shading on bear – T0, T2, T4
  • fox color – E11, E13, E15
  • bunny color – E70, E71, E74
  • light red – RV23, R14, R24
  • dark red – R39, R59
  • light green – YG11, G21, G24
  • dark green – G17, G28, G29
  • aqua blue – BG34, BG49
