Hey friends, it’s Christy here with a sweet Halloween card featuring the Candy Crew cuties! I’m a big, giant baby when it comes to scary stuff. I want all of the vibes with none of the venom. So these adorable critters in costume are right up my alley. I wanted them to have matching outfits, as if one of their mom’s sewed them using the same fabric, while still showing off each of their personalities. Boy, do I remember those days! I colored the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with their matching dies.
For the background, I die cut the moon from Spooky Scene out of masking paper and adhered it to a panel of Bristol Cardstock. Then I blended over that with Distress Oxide Inks in Squeezed Lemonade, Picked Raspberry, and Black Soot. I also did some splatter with water, the Black Soot Ink, and white paint. Then I die cut the rest of the Spooky Scene from black cardstock and adhered it over top. I stamped my sentiment, glued down my critters and their trail of treats, and finished off with a bit of Stardust Stickles.
I also created a video tutorial, so if you’d like to see how this card came together, including the entire coloring process, you can click the thumbnail below or find it here on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. I really hope that you enjoy it. Wishing you all a Happy Halloween, however you like to celebrate!
Crafty hugs,
Christy
