Hello Friends! I’m so excited it’s Spooky Season again! This is my favorite time of the year because I love everything Halloween! It’s time to hang up the cobwebs, put out my skeleton friends, and usher in the crafty spooks with the all new super cute and charming Sabrina stamp set ! Today’s Halloween card inspiration features the adorable Sabrina in a spooky monochromatic full moon background.

To create this card, I first started off by stamping the sweet Sabrina image onto watercolor paper using Distress Ink in the color Antique Linen. I colored the image using Faber- Castell Albrecht Durer Watercolor Pencils. I then cut out the image using the corresponding Sabrina Die.

To create the spooky background, I used the Full Moon Scene Die. I used this die to cut out the spooky tree from black cardstock. To give my tree a glow from the full moon, I used a white color pencil to lightly color in the inside edges of the tree. For the background, I cut out a large square panel from Bristol Smooth Cardstock using the largest square die in the Nesting Square Die Set. I then masked off a circle in the middle of the panel. Next, taking some Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink, I started inking from the outer edges of my panel inward towards the masked center. Then, with Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink, I lightly went over the first layer of ink, creating a gradient effect. I repeated the same process with the last layer being Black Soot Distress Ink around the entire outer edges to make it very very dark.

Next, I cut out a circle from Bristol Smooth Cardstock using the Nesting Circle Die, to create my full moon. I used a stencil to create the dark spots in the moon using Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink. I also die cut some bats from black heavyweight cardstock using the tiny bats dies from the Spooky Scene Die  . I stamped the sentiment from the new Candy Crew Stamp  onto bristol smooth cardstock and cut it out using the second to the last die in the Nesting A7 Die set.

Finally, I adhered the moon to my background panel, and paper pieced the white frame and spooky tree into their places using Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue. I adhered my image with foam strips to give her dimension and make her really pop. Then I adhered the bats and sentiments with double sided tape adhesive. For all the little highlights on the image, I used a Sakura White Gelly Roll pen in size 08. Presto! That does it for this simple Cute and Spooky Halloween Card! I hope I’ve inspired you to get crafty for the Halloween Season! Until Next time, Happy Spooky Cardmaking!
