Hey friends, it’s Christy here with a fun fall card featuring Bloomin Happy. Yes, you read that right. Even though Bloomin Happy seems like more of a Springtime set, I think it transitions beautifully into the Autumn season when combined with a few fall images and a lovely, warm color palette. I pulled in the smaller set of mushrooms and the worm from Garden Party (yes, another Spring set) and also brought inĀ Fall Banner Buddies for the acorns and leaves that will take this right into the current season. I colored the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.
For the background, I trimmed down a piece of Bristol Cardstock with the Nesting Deckle A2 dies and watercolored a simple background with Distress Oxide Inks. I used Tumbled Glass and Stormy Sky for the sky and Rustic Wilderness for the grass. A fall card needs a fall sentiment, so I chose one from Banner Blessings to stamp in the top right corner, and put another on the inside of the card. I also trimmed down some rust-colored patterned paper with the same die and layered that and the focal panel on a dark brown card base. Then I adhered my images with liquid glue and finished with some Stickles for a touch of glitter.
And of course I created a video tutorial for you, so if you’d like to follow along and see how this card came together from start to finish, including all the coloring, just click on the thumbnail below. Or you can find it on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. I really hope that you enjoy it, and that it helps you take a second look at some of your Springtime stamp sets and see what you can do to stretch them into other seasons. Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Crafty hugs,
Christy
