Hi friends! It’s Stefanie here today and I am sharing a fun slimline with the most adorable critters all hanging out in a popular tree! The little possum is a real personal favorite!
I created this card by pairing the set Tree Neighbors with the High-Rise Tree Scene Die and added a sentiment from Birthday Script.
I started with stamping the images using black ink and coloring them using a mix of Copics and Ohuhus (O).
Owl: E44-40
Bunny: E41-40
Bear/Raccoon: W5, 3, 1, 00
Possum: W3, 1, 00
Squirrel: E59, 57, 55, 42-40
Fox: YR5(O), BR3(O), E11, 30, 40
The images were then cut out using the Tree Neighbors coordinating dies.
Next I used the High-Rise Tree Scene Die on white cardstock and used distress oxides to color the scene. For the tree I used Antique Linen for the lightest sections and added shading with Vintage Photo and Walnut stain. I added some splatter using Vintage Photo for some texture.
The sky was ink blended using Wilted Violet, Shaded Lilac, and Tumbled Glass. I used water to lift some spots and added some splatter back in using the same 3 colors to create some texture for the sky as well. Finally for the grass, I used Bundled Sage with a little bit of Rustic Wilderness splatter.
For the sentiment, I stamped it on the tree in Vintage Photo so that it looked like it was carved in. I also stamped the little carved heart that came in the Tree Neighbors set.
Finally I adhered the images directly to the card, tucking them in and around the tree where applicable. And for final touches I added some highlights using a white gel pen. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like my card!
