Just for you with Sara

Today it’s my turn over the Hello Bluebird Blog and I have a “Just for you” card to show you, featuring some of the recent released items as well as some previous ones.

I wanted to create a flower themed card, featuring the most adorable little bear included in the Bear Family stamp set. I decided to pair it up with the bigger bear of the Balloon Buddies stamp holding the bouquet from Bouquet Buddies stamp.

So, I stamped the foliage directly on some light blue cardstock with a green ink (I didn’t want the offset die border to show so much on the same colored background) and I added just a few details with a darker pencil on the leaves. I also die cut some of the flowers included in the same Bouquet Buddies stamp and I did some layering stamping for the flower centres. After that, I stamped and colored the two main protagonists of the scene with the Copics E59 – E57 – E35 – E55 – E53 – E30 – E11 and I die cut them with coordinating dies.

I then moved to the background and the sentiment: on the same light blue cardstock I used for the foliage, I stamped the In the Meadow Background stamp with a slightly darker ink; I also die cut the panel with the largest of the Nesting Deckle A2 die.

For the sentiment, I used the recent released Just For You Words die, cutting the shadow with white cardstock and the words with sparkly gold cardstock. I also completed the sentiment by adding a small white strip from Bear Family stamp. I attached all the pieces to create the composition I had in mind.

To complete the card, I decided to add some white iridescent gems around the bouquet and to matt the panel with a larger white cardstock. And here’s the finished result!
