Hello everyone this is Nicky with you today.  I hope you are all receiving your orders from the July release by now and maybe some of you who shopped super early after it went live have already had time to create with it.  Perhaps you picked up ‘Bear Family’ one of the simply adorable new stamp sets.

Here’s what I’ve used to make this card:-

Bear Family

Bear Family Die

Gallery Frame #3 Die

I first masked off a focal point on a white A2 panel of cardstock and I ink blended using Distress Oxide Inks in Salvaged Patina, Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn.  I keep the mask in place and used a toothbrush to spritz on some white acrylic paint loosened with a drop or two of water.  I carefully removed the mask and then die cut white cardstock using Gallery Frame #3 and I adhered this to the blended panel using dimensional foam tape.

I stamped some of the bears from the Bear Family stamp set using Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa and I coloured the images using the following Copic marker combinations:-

Adult Bears – E44, E43, E42, E41, E40

Baby Bears – E43, E42, E41, E40

Blushes – R22, R20, R00

Flowers – B04, YG13

Bumble Bees – T5, T4, Y15, Y06, BG000

All images were highlighted with a white gel pen and die cut using the coordinating Bear Family dies and applied to the scene using dimensional foam tape or in the case of some of the groups of flowers, directly with glue.  The final touch was to stamp the sentiment on a sentiment strip and also apply that with foam tape.
