Hi Bluebird Friends, Sara here!

Today it’s my turn over the Hello Bluebird Blog and I have a BDAY card to show you, featuring the recently released Bloomin Happy stamp set.

I absolutely loved that giant mushroom duo included in the Bloomin Happy set, as well as the smallest one. So, I had the idea to create a mushroom scene: I looked into my stash and I decided to use the two included in the Garden Party too.

I stamped all the images I wanted to use on some Neenah Solar White cardstock and I colored everything with the Copics listed below.

  • Dark Red Mushroom: R59 – R56 – R46 – R27 – R24 | E43 – E42 – E41 – E40
  • Orange Mushroom: YR27 – E97 – E13 – YR31 | E43 – E42 – E41 – E40
  • Light Red Mushroom: R24 – R14 – R12 | E42 – E40
  • Mouse: W5 – W4 – W3 – W1 – RV34 – R20 – E11 – E000
  • Squirrel: E18 – E17 – E15 – E13 – E42 – E30 – RV34 – R20
  • Flowers and leaves: R56 – Y32 – YG93 – YG95 – YG97

After that, I die cut everything using coordinating dies and I let them aside while working on the background panel.

I decided to ink blend only the upper side of the scene, using an olive green tone with a very light hand. I also added just a touch of black ink in the corner, to create more contrast. I cut that panel with the largest of the A2 Nesting Deckle Die and I arranged all the critters to create the scene. Since the upper left part was empty, I looked into my stash to find a big sentiment to stamp: I found the Birthday Script Stamp , but instead of stamping it all, I used only the word happy and I completed the sentiment with some die cut letters using the Jane Small Alpha die.

As a finishing touch, I added some sparkling sequins here and there and I matted the whole scene with a 5,75″x4,5″ white panel. And here’s the finished result!

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like the inspiration!

Hugs from Italy,

Sara
