Hello everyone this is Sindhu with you today and I’m super excited to be here on the Hello Bluebird blog with my first blogpost!  For today’s card, I used the adorable Strawberry Patch stamp set from the new release. Coordinating dies are available HERE for this set but I didn’t use them for my card.

 


To make this card, I first set aside all the images from the set that I planned to use.  Then, I stamped the images on a masking paper, fussy cut the images.  Then, on a panel of Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock measuring 4”×5.25”, I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I didn’t mask any images while stamping. Once the stamping was done, I took a strip of washi tape and adhered at the very bottom of the panel. This would let me have a strip of white , clean space to ‘ground’ my images. I adhered the masks on the images and used dye inks to ink blend a soft background.

 

I also added a little ‘controlled’ splatters of clean water to the background and also a few white gel details. Once I was happy with the background, I removed the
masks and coloured the images with Copic Markers.

 


Mice- W3, W1, W0, W00, inside of the ears- R000, cheeks- R20, R00.
Strawberries- R29, R24, R22
Leaves- G46, G43, G40


To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment in black and glued the card front on a pool coloured card base.
