Hi friends! Happy to be here on the Hello Bluebird blog for the first time! I’m sharing a clean and simple card today using one of my favorite images and sentiment from the latest release.
To create this card I first stamped out the adorable fox, his tomatoes, and a little worm from the Vegetable Garden stamp set. I also stamped out the rock from the Jungle King stamp set to use as a little stepping stool for the fox.
Then I colored the images with a mix of Copics(C) and Ohuhu alcohol markers:
Fox orange: YR5, BR3, YR4, YR220, Y110
Fox ears: R21, R000(C)
White shadow: N1(C), C0(C)
Tomato red: R8, R3, R1, R050
Tomato leaves: G1, G3, GY1
Brown pot: E59(C), E57(C), E23(C)
Wood stick: E42(C), E41(C)
Worm/grass green: G8, GY7
Rock gray: NG06, NG03, CG020
I used the coordinating dies to cut out my colored images and added some foam tape to the back.
For the background I used the second largest Nesting Deckle A2 die and cut out white cardstock. The I ink blended some Salvaged Patina distress oxide onto the die cut and stamped the sentiment using black ink. I did cut the word “to-ma-toes” apart from the rest of the sentiment so I could easily center it underneath. I didn’t have to do it this way, but I never really use long sentiments all on one line so why not.
Finally, I propped up my images onto my background and my background onto a white card base using foam tape to add dimension. And for last touches, I added a little bit of white highlight using a gel pen.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like my card!

Stefanie, I LOVE your card!!! It may be “simple”, but I love the clean lines and the white really makes the colors pop! Your coloring is amazing and I can’t wait to see more of your cards!
Welcome Stefanie! Your card is adorable!! This is one set from the new release that I didn’t purchase but after seeing your sweet scene I just may have to add it to my list for next month. Love how you put the fox on the rock, and how you cut up the sentiment. Awesome job!!
Not only is this super cute….but I love when the copics that you used are listed! Thank you!
