Hi, this is Nicky with you today and I’m sharing a card design for a new baby …. couldn’t resist!! Read on for all the details.
Here are the Hello Bluebird products used in the making of this card:-
I started by creating the background panel. For this I used several shades of blue Distress Oxide Ink. I then stamped the sentiment with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with super fine white embossing powder and then I covered the sentiment whilst I splashed on water and blotted then I splashed on a little water mixed with white acrylic paint. I attached the panel to my card base then die cut the Gallery Frame #3 Die and used the outer part, backing it with dimensional foam tape then attaching it.
Time to stamp and colour the images I’d be using from Little Star and Sweet Dreams which are two stamps that work together quite seamlessly. For stamping I used Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa and I then coloured my images with Copic markers. Here are the colours I used.
Elephant – W4, W3, W2, W1, W0
Bunnies – E31, E41, E40
Blushes – R21, R20, R00
Clouds – BG11, BG0000, C3, T1, T0, C00
I highlighted points with a white gel pen then die cut using the coordinating dies and applied them to the scene using dimensional foam tape. I finished the card by glueing in place a few tiny wooden star embellishments which picked up the colour of the bunny rabbits.
I appreciate you stopping by the blog today, feel free to leave me any comments or questions you may have and I’ll be happy to respond. Happy crafting!
Nicky
