Hey friends, it’s Christy here with a sweet birthday card featuring the cute critters from Cake Time. To make this more of a Springtime birthday card, I combined it with a couple of the smaller images from Flower Friends. I colored all the images with Copic markers in the color palette of our current challenge, which is a pastel birthday theme. So pretty! I also added in some polka dots to the party hats with a white gel pen. Then I trimmed the images out with the matching dies.

For the focal panel, I die cut some Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock with one of the Nesting Circle dies and blended on Distress Inks. I used Tumbled Glass for the sky and Rustic Wilderness and Bundled Sage for the grass. Then I stamped my sentiment on the bottom using the Typed Everyday set. I popped this up with foam tape over a couple different layers of patterned paper, to really tie in that pastel color palette. Then I finished off the card with some clear sequins and a little Stardust Stickles for a bit of sparkle and shine.

I also created a video tutorial for you guys, so if you’d like to see how this card came together and how I finished off the inside, you can click the thumbnail below or find the video on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. And if you haven’t yet checked out our challenge, you can find that over on Instagram. We’d love to have you play along! We get so much joy out of seeing your creations. Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Crafty hugs,

Christy
