Hello everyone and thank you for joining me on the Hello Bluebird Stamps blog today where I’m sharing a sweet card featuring the old favourite stamp set Puddle Play. Read on for all the details.
Here are the products used in the making of this card:-
To kick things off, I took two A2 panels of white cardstock and one panel of pale pink and the last panel was a patterned mini gingham paper from my crafting stash. One white panel was kept full size and the others were scaled down and glued in place revealing their edges to frame the scene. I used the Nesting Oval Die to die cut an opening in the smallest white ‘top’ panel which I then backed with a layer of vellum and then added dimensional foam tape and and stuck it down.
I used the negative oval cut to create the ground by using the Grassy Knoll Die, I ink blended with a little Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink and stamped the sentiment from the stamp set. I glued this in place.
Time to stamp and colour the images I chose that would sit nicely within the horizontally lying oval frame. Here are the Copic colours used for the limited palette I worked with.
Elephant – W4, W3, W2, W1, W0, RV63, RV52, RV00
Mouse – C3, C1, C00, RV52, RV00
Umbrellas – RV63, RV52, RV00, C3, C1, C0, C00
Clouds – W1, W0, W00, RV00, RV000
I polka-dotted the umbrellas and highlighted points on the elephant and mouse with a white gel pen then die cut using the coordinating dies for Puddle Play and applied everything with dimensional foam tape. The final touch was 3 heart embellishments and then it was done!
Thank you for stopping by, I’ll be back soon with something new. Hope you can carve out some crafty time.
