Hey friends, it’s Christy here with a Springtime birthday card featuring one of my favorite stamp sets, Best Days. This one is always so much fun to create scenes with and such a joy to color! It reminds me of when I was little and loved to make my own paper dolls. Designing the outfits and giving their clothes different patterns was always my favorite part. And this is even better because it has pets! I combined it with the trees and bluebells from Picked for You to help fill in the background. I colored all the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

Then I cut out a focal panel out of two pieces of Bristol using the Nesting Deckle A2 and Grassy Knoll dies. For the sky, I used a cloud stencil and blended on Tumbled Glass and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink. For the grass I used Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn. I also stamped a sentiment in the top right using Birthday Script, one of my top go-to sets for birthday sentiments. I popped the focal panel up over some patterned paper and finished the card with a little Stardust Stickles.

I also created a video tutorial for you, in case you’d like to create a similar card for yourself. It’s start to finish, including all the Copic coloring. I also have a video going through the process of planning out this card from no ideas at all, to a complete concept. You can find both videos on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty.
