Hey friends, it’s Christy here with a fun, Springtime card featuring the adorable critters from Big Hugs Woodland. I love these guys and the friendship they so obviously share with their sweet group hug. I wanted my card to reflect the season we’re coming into, so I colored them with my Copic markers in neutrals, but added in some fun pops of purple with the bird and the flowers. Then I trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the focal panel, I trimmed down a piece of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock with the Nesting Deckle A2 dies, and blended on some Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide Ink in the center. I also added in some splatters of water and the ink, and then stamped a sentiment at the bottom with Dusty Concord Distress Oxide. I added my images with liquid glue and popped the panel up with foam tape over some patterned paper that matched my card base. Then I finished with a sprinkle of clear sequins and some Stardust Stickles.

Of course, I also created a video tutorial, including the Copic coloring step by step, so if you’d like to follow along you can click the thumbnail below, or find it on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. I really hope you enjoy it! Wishing you all a lovely spring, filled with flowers and hugs and friendship.

Love, Christy
