I had a recipient in mind for this card, who has recently got a puppy. I thought it would be fun to feature their dog on their birthday card.
I stamped the dog from Carried Away. I removed as much ink as I could from the balloon string and eye patch details, as I won’t need these for my puppy.
I coloured the dog with neutral grey copic markers, to resemble the recipients puppy. I used the coordinating die to cut the image out, then fussy cut away the heart balloon.
Next, I stamped the balloons and string images from the Balloon Buddies stamp set. I coloured them with a rainbow of copic markers, then used the coordinating die to cut them out.
I adhered the strings and balloons to the dog, then added some extra die cut layers behind for dimension.
For the background, I adhered a piece of blue watercolour patterned paper to an A2 card base. I then die cut and adhered a white card Partly Cloudy die cut over the top.
I selected a few of the clouds to add into the background scene. On one of them, I stamped a sentiment from the Birthday Script stamp set.
I die cut a few 6’s, using the By The Numbers die set, layering them up for dimension and adding a blue sparkle card layer at the top. I added the dog with balloons and the number to the card to finish.
