Hello Crafty Friends! With Spring being only a day away, I decided to create a card that reflects the joy and excitement I feel for the upcoming Easter season. My card creation today features the adorable Banner Buddies Stamp. I love working with this stamp set for its many wonderful floral and foliage elements that make coloring and creating floral wreaths super fun . Not to mention, this set also contains such super adorable critters that look up towards the sky.
The first step to creating my card was to cut out an A2 sized base panel from Bristol smooth cardstock paper. I then inked up my background with Salvaged Patina Distress Ink for the sky portion and Mowed Lawn Distress Ink for the grass portion. I used some water splatters to create a very subtle texture to the grass. I then die cut a white scalloped frame from the Gallery Frame #2 Die and adhered it to my inked card base using Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue.
My next step was stamping out all my images onto watercolor paper with Antique Linen Distress Ink. This specific ink is perfect for my favorite no-line coloring style as it disappears when it makes contact with water. I used Faber- Castell watercolor pencils to color all my images and cut them out using the corresponding Banner Buddies Die. I fussy cut around my banner image and using the Spring Banner Script Stamp, I stamped my Easter Sentiment in the middle of my banner using a stamp positioning tool such as the Mini Misti.
Finally, I positioned all my images into their perfect position and adhered everything into place using a combination of double sided tape adhesive, craft glue, and foam tape. I truly am so excited to give this card to a family member for Easter this year! Thank you so much for joining me again today for more of my Spring and Easter card inspiration! I hope you have a wonderful day! Stay crafty and until next time, Happy Card making!
