Hello Crafty Friends! In just a few weeks, we finally get to welcome a brand new Spring season and I am so here for it! I’m very excited for warmer weather with flowers and green grass painting the landscapes as well as just being outside soaking in the sunshine.  That being said, I wanted to bring some of springtime energy into today’s new card inspiration  featuring a medley of adorable critters from the Park Play Stamp.

I first begin with an A2 sized panel of bristol smooth cardstock and using Distress Inks,  I ink blended the sky portion with the color Salvaged Patina, and Mowed Lawn for the grass portion. I added some water and ink splatters to the background for some subtle texture. To help create my scene, I die cut a frame using the Gallery Frame #2 Die from bristol smooth cardstock. I inked the inner frame using Vintage Photo Distress Ink to create separation from the outer white frame. For my “Hello Spring” sentiment, I used the Jane Small Alpha Die and inked only half of each letter with Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide Ink.

Next, I stamped all my images onto watercolor paper using Distress Ink in the color Antique Linen. I colored my images using Faber-Castell Watercolor Pencils and cut out the images using the Park Play Die.

Finally, I played with placement and adhered my images using a combination of foam tape, double sided adhesive, and Bearly Art precision craft glue. I am loving how how bright and cheerful this card turned out! I definitely can’t wait to give this card creation to my friend that doesn’t celebrate Easter, but still loves to celebrate spring. That does it for this card inspiration! I hope you’ll join me in celebrating spring with some bright and colorful makes! Until next time, Happy Crafty Cardmaking!
