(VIDEO) Big Hugs Woodland with Christy

Hey friends, it’s Christy here with a fun, Springtime card featuring the adorable critters from Big Hugs Woodland. I love these guys and the friendship they so obviously share with their sweet group hug. I wanted my card to reflect the season we’re coming into, so I colored them with my Copic markers in neutrals, but added in some fun pops of purple with the bird and the flowers. An Easter twist on Picked For You with Amy

Hello! It’s Amy with you again and after the background die and background stamp mash up that I did last week turned out so well, I just had to try the technique again. This time around I paired the Winter Woods Overlay die with the Country Roads Background stamp for that extra sense of depth and dimension in this spring scene. I also altered the characters from the Picked For You set just a bit to make them work within the Easter egg hunt theme that I was going for on my card. Originally both the little girl and...

Balloon Dog with Gemma

Today I have a birthday card to share, featuring the Carried Away and Balloon Buddies stamp sets. I had a recipient in mind for this card, who has recently got a puppy. I removed as much ink as I could from the balloon string and eye patch details, as I won’t need these for my puppy. I coloured the dog with neutral grey copic markers, to resemble the recipients puppy. I used the coordinating die to cut the...

Creating a Rainbow Check Background with Leanne

Hello everyone! I’m back with more rainbow inspiration except this time it’s in the form of a very fun buffalo plaid background. So get out your ink cubes and any plaid background stamp and join me! To create my “rainbowed” plaid background, I’ve used the Buffalo Check Background stamp and some Altenew ink cubes (see photo below for specific colors). The cubes are small enough to ink horizontal sections of the background stamp until filled with all the colors. Overlaping the colors slightly will result in a seamless transition. I did a better job of that towards the top...

Little Painters with Sara

Hi Bluebird Friends, Sara here! Today it’s my turn over the Hello Bluebird Blog and I have an Easter themed card to show you, featuring the Little Painters set. I was inspired by the current #hellobluebirdspringchallenge for the color palette, and this is also a reminder because the challenge will run until March, 31st at 11:59PM MST. One lucky winner will be chosen at random to receive a $50 gift certificate to the Hello Bluebird shop.   I started from the banner, which took me a bit of time to be created. I chose 4 colored cardstock (that matched the...
