Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Marie back again with another card inspiration. Today I am sharing a friendship card featuring the Page Turner Stamp. If you’re anything like me, and you love books and have friends and family that also share in your love of amazing stories,  this stamp set is perfect! All the images and sentiments in this set are so perfect to let your bookworm friends and family know you’re thinking of them.

To make this card, I first started  by die cutting a panel of Neenah Solar White 110 lb. cardstock with the largest die in the Nesting Deckle A2 Die Set. Next, with the same die, I cut another panel from some faux vintage pattern paper with Typewriter Alphas. This pattern paper is from the brand Park Lane. Then, I adhered the pattern paper to my 11o lb study base using double sided tape adhesive. Using some Distress Ink in the color Vintage Photo, I ink blended all around the edges to give this card a very grungy vintage feel. To create my black frame, I took two of the smaller dies in the Nesting Deckle A2 set, and ran them together though the die cutter. With the largest die that created the frame, I die cut a piece of translucent vellum as part of my background. I also inked my vellum paper in the same Vintage Photo Distress ink.  Then I adhered the vellum to the black frame and attached it to my card. I love that I can still see all the cool typewriter letters in the background!

One of my most favorite parts of putting together a card is the coloring part! When I color my images, I first stamp them onto watercolor paper using Antique Linen Distress Ink. I color all my images with Faber-Castell Watercolor Pencils. Then, I cut out all the images using the corresponding Page Turner Dies I stamped my sentiment onto Neenah Solar White cardstock and cut it out using the smallest die in the Nesting A7 Die. Next, I used the blanket shaped die in the Strawberry Jam Dies to cut out a blanket from a black and white plaid pattern paper for my adorable girl and her dog to rest upon. After playing with placement, I adhered all my images using a combination of double sided tape adhesive, foam tape, and Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue.

And there you have it crafty friends, a super sweet and easy friendship card! Thank you so much for joining me today! I really had fun creating this card, and I hope you’re inspired to go create your own! Until next time, Happy Cardmaking!
