Hello friends! Since tomorrow is Valentine’s Day, I thought I would squeeze in one more Valentine themed card! My project was inspired by the challenge board #hellobluebirdvalentineschallenge.

To begin, I cut a piece of pink cardstock a touch smaller than A2 size, stamped it with clear embossing ink using the Old Oak Background Stamp, then added white embossing powder, and heated it to create a fun background for the sweet birdies. Next, I die cut a window using a heart die and attached a piece of acetate to the back, and lined it with foam tape to create the shaker element. I then cut a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock to A2 size and ink blended the heart opening with Aged Mahogany, Festive Berries, and Tattered Rose Distress Oxide inks. I sprinkled some glitter and heart sequins onto the ink blended heart, then attached the pink panel onto it to seal up the shaker.

Next, I stamped the birds from Garden Party, colored with Copic markers, and die cut with the Garden Party Dies. The tree branch was stamped using the Tree Neighbors stamp, colored with Copic markers, and die cut with the Tree Neighbors Dies. I tucked the tree branch into the heart, and attached the birds using foam tape for dimension. I stamped the ‘I love you’ sentiment from the Typed Everyday Stamp in red ink and used the Word Bubbles Die to cut out the speech bubble.

Next, I created a fun sentiment using the Small Jane Alpha Die. I die cut the words ‘Tweet Heart’ from both red and white cardstock, layering the red letters onto the white letters, just slightly offset, and attached to the card. Lastly, I attached the layered panel onto a red cardstock card base to complete my card!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you were inspired to create something for the Valentine challenge!

Hugs,

Tammy
