Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Marie! Thanks so much for joining me for another crafty card inspiration. Today I am sharing a simple friendship card featuring the  Bee Happy Stamps, one of my favorite stamp sets of all time. I can’t get over how cute the bees in this set are!! I just adore each and every one of them! I also incorporated the strawberry vines from the Strawberry Jam Stamp set to create my wreath.

The first step I took to create my card was to die cut two A2 sized card panels using Neenah Solar White 110 lb heavyweight cardstock. I then used the Gallery Frame Die #2 to cut out my white scalloped frame from Bristol smooth cardstock. Then, taking an A2 sized smooth cardstock paper in a light mustard shade,  I adhered it to my A2 sized card panel using double sided tape adhesive. To create a golden background, I ink blended my my card panel from the outside inward using Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I also created subtle brown ink splatters for added texture using the same distress ink. I then adhered my white scalloped frame to the card panel using Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue.

My next step was to color up all my images by first stamping them onto watercolor paper using Distress Ink in the color Antique Linen. I used Faber – Castell Watercolor pencils to color all my images. I added white highlights using a white  Sakura Gelly Roll Pen. Then using the Bee Happy Dies and the Strawberry Jam Dies , I cut out all my images. I stamped out my sentiment using VersaFine black pigment ink onto Neenah solar white cardstock and cut it out using the smallest die from the Nesting A7 Dies for my favorite skinny banner.

Before permanently adhering my images to my card, I added double sided foam strips to the back of my bees and the jar of honey to give them dimension and double sided tape adhesive for the strawberry vines. Finally, after arranging my images and playing around with positioning, I adhered everything to my card panel creating a playful scene.

To complete my card, I then took the other A2 sized panel  and scored a tiny flap at the top with a bone folder.  With double sided adhesive tape along the flap, I  attached my card panel to the white base for an upward opening card, and presto that completes this project!

I had so much fun creating this card which is perfect for anyone, anytime, or for this upcoming Valentine’s Day! Until next time, Happy Cardmaking!!!
