Hey friends, it’s Christy here with a sweet card that works great for Valentine’s Day, an Anniversary or just a general occasion for someone you love. This one stars the dog and fox from Carried Away, along with the birds from Flying High. As I was creating this card, it reminded me of the old Disney classic, The Fox and the Hound, which I loved as a kid. I colored the image with Copic markers, turning the birds into doves to go with the love theme. Then I trimmed the images out with their matching dies.

For the background, I tool a panel of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock and blended on Distress Oxide Inks, starting with Tumbled Glass at the top, then Stormy Sky, then Chipped Sapphire. I added some splatters for extra interest. Then I cut the Partly Cloudy background die from white cardstock and from vellum. I glued the frame onto the ink blended panel, then filled in some of the clouds with the white cardstock and some with vellum, hiding the glue behind the images. The other clouds I left blank so you could see the pretty sky through the open shapes. I stamped a sentiment on one of the bottom clouds, added some iridescent heart confetti, and a little Stardust Stickles on the balloons.

Of course I have a video tutorial for you, so if you’d like to see the whole thing come together, you can click on the thumbnail below, or find it on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. This is actually Day 4 of my 2023 Valentine Card Series! So if you’ve missed any videos, feel free to go back and take a look. I really do hope that you enjoy this one! I had a lot of fun creating it for you. Until next time!

Crafty hugs,

Christy
