Hello Crafty Friends! The Holidays are finally upon us and I have been super busy crafting up the last few cards for this season! Today I am excited to share a super sweet Holiday inspiration card featuring Hello Bluebird’s huge and adorable Snowman Competition Stamp. There are so many adorable critters in this set that I could hardly choose which one to color! I decided to create a scene which focuses on just two of the images in this set,  the super cute fox building his snowman masterpiece.

The first thing I did to create this card was to die cut an A2 sized panel from  Neenah Solar White 110 lb heavy weight cardstock paper. I then used an A2 sized mint colored smooth cardstock paper and adhered it to my heavyweight cardstock. I then ink blended the edges of the mint cardstock using Distress Inks in the colors Rustic Wilderness, Uncharted Mariner, and Chipped Sapphire. I applied all the inks using a very light hand with the lightest shade first and finishing off the edges in the darkest shade. This creates a gorgeous dark blue/green to mint gradient. I love using these colors for winter/ holiday themed cards!

I die cut an A2 sized bristol smooth cardstock panel using the Winter Woods Overlay Die to create  the perfect woodsy backdrop framing my entire scene.  I inked the trees using Distress Inks in Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain. To create a little snowy hill for my images to sit atop, I cut off the bottom portion of an A2 sized bristol smooth panel using the Slimline Hill & Dale Die . Starting from the bottom on my snowy hill, I ink blended using Distress ink in Speckled Egg and Evergreen Bough for the left and right corners.

On watercolor paper, I stamped out all my images from Snowman Competition Stamp using Distress Ink in Antique Linen. I used Faber Castell Watercolor pencils to color all my images. Using the Snowman Competition Die , I cut out all my images. I then stamped out the “Season’s Greetings” banner sentiment that comes from the Holiday Office Party Stamp, in a red dye ink. I cut out the banner sentiment using the Holiday Office Party Die.

To create a snow scene, I used watered down white acrylic paint and splattered my background, trees, and snowbank.  I also die cut  snowflakes in varying sizes  from both the Paper Snowflake Die and the Frosty Flakes Die.

I played around with placement and adhered everything down using a combination of double sided tape adhesive and Bearly art Precision Craft Glue. I used cut up tiny foam strip adhesive to prop up the holly and leaves on either side of the banner.

And that does it for this Holiday card inspiration! Until Next time ,  Thank you all so much for joining me today!! I wish you all a very Happy and memorable  MERRY CHRISTMAS and a Bright HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Take care and Happy Cardmaking!!!
