Hello everyone – welcome back – my card today is featuring an „older“ set called North Pole Littles. It‘s one of my fist sets I‘ve got from Hello Bluebird and I still love it.
I used:
- North Pole Littles stamp set
- Slimline Skating Pond scene die
- Nesting Square die
- sentiments from Snowman Hugs stamp set
First, stamped all images on alcohol marker friendly paper, colored them with e.g. Copics, added some highlights with color pencils and a white pen. To get a pattern on the sleight I masked up the borders and stamped a few stars on it. After this I cut out the trees from the Slimline Skating Pond scene die a few times until I had enough trees for my forest. The trees are blended with Distress oxide inks: twisted citron and rustic wilderness. The trees in the background are cut out in black and green.
For the background I did some blending with the Distress oxide inks – on top: peacock feathers, tumbled glas and a little uncharted mariner and behind the forest twisted citron and cracked pistachio. To got „more dimension“ between the trees in front and in the back I added a layer of vellum over the background. For the rein I just drew a line and cut out.
The frame I created with the Nesting Square dies.
Finally I arranged all images on my card base, stamped the sentiments on them and created a little embossed sentiment with white embossing powder on a red stripe, which I cut out. That‘s it.
I hope you like my litte Christmas card inpiration.
Thank you for stopping by,
happy crafty time
Chris
