Hi everyone, it´s Chris, back with a Christmas card. Since I saw the Campsite scene Die I had this little scene in my mind. So I decided to make this card for my today’s blog post.
For this card I used:
As always I started to stamped all images on alcohol friendly paper and colored them with my alcohol markers, color pencils and a white pen for highlights.
After this I stamped the skaters again with the „mirror stamping technique“. I love to use this technique, because the technique doesn’t have to be perfect – it‘s just a reflection. If you like some more information about this technique you can find here a blog post I made a “few” days ago. I colored up the mirrored images with the same colors as I did before, the only thing I did was to use a light blue ( Copic BG10) on my last step to cover up the skaters.
Then I did some ink blending with Distress oxide inks (tumbled glass and / or peacock feathers) – to get a „smoother“ look you can use a panel of vellum. For the sky I also used Distress oxide ink (uncharted mariner) and drew some white snowflakes with a pen.
When everything was colored and cut out I only had to add the scenery on my card base. That’s it.
Thank you for stopping by,
happy crafty time
Chris
